in Waynesville, NC on 24 August 2013 (NOTE you didn’t have to read to attend
the Get Together). Works by the following writers were read at the
get together: Tom Daivs, Polly Davis, Nancy Dillingham, Marian Gowan,
Robin Greene, Jo Koster, Celia Miles, Martha O'Quinn, Pat Podlipec,
Evelyne Weeks, and C. Pleasants York
WHO: OMP Anthology Contributors and their friends and families WHAT: Conducted a reading of their work as contained in the OMP Anthologies You can also read a selection for a friend who can not attend in addition to your work. You can also read your work as found in Mother’s Little Helper even if it is not out by August 24th. WHEN: 3:00 pm to 4:30ish pm on a Saturday 24 August WHERE: At Blue Ridge Books Store, 152 S. Main St., Waynesville, NC (about 25 min West of Asheville) http://www.BlueRidgeBooksNC.com Why: Mainly to put faces with bios and works as found in the OMP Anthologies and have fun. Contributors can read one or more (time dependant) of their poems/prose from the OMP Anthologies. NOTE: I will have copies of all 21 anthologies on hand for those who did not purchase or have lost your copy) For those of you flat-landers who live outside the Western NC area, this will be a great excuse to come visit the Smoky Mountains for a weekend during this hot summer season.
