About the Organization
LS&ESSI, Inc. (aka) LIGHTNING STRIKE & ELECTRIC SHOCK SURVIVORS
INT, Inc. was founded on February 22, 1988, by Steve Marshburn, Sr. and
Gerolf Engelstatter, PhD, Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Our motto is: "WHERE HOPE BEGINS"

LS&ESSI, Inc, PO Box 1156, Jacksonville, NC 28540-5307. LS&ESSI,
Inc.is 501c3 and non profit organization. You will receive a receipt
for your donations. They will be used wisely to help others.
We have a global board of directors. There are no paid salaries within
the ranks of LS&ESSI, Inc.
The organization has approximately 1450 members as of 2007. We
have been credited with talking 21 or more out of taking their lives while
on the telephone with them. There is no doubt in my mind what-so-ever
as to "why" I was struck by lightning back in 1969. It was to help
others. That's my goal in life.
