About the Author
Anna Jeanne Bullock Whetzel, is a Durham native. She started writing poetry after becoming a Christian in 1954.  Her writing was put on the shelf to raise her family.  After her Mother died in 1995, she began writing poetry again for her family and friends. Her book is the result of God’s inspiration and guidance to healing in her life. Her childhood memories will bring reminiscence and laughter about growing up in her small family.

From: Feed My Sheep

My trials grew dim as my faith was restored.
To heights unknown, with joy I soared!
As a child of the King, I began to understand,
These valley experiences were my Master’s plan,
To teach me obedience in doing His will,
My life to Him, I now do yield.
With love in my heart, I eagerly seek,
To obey His command, “feed My sheep.”

In the full warmth of summer
with flowers everywhere,
their beauty is a  reminder,
of God who place them there.

In the fall, God brushes the leaves
with red, orange and gold.
Brilliant splashes of color,
what a blessing to behold.

God’s beauty in every season,
is given to us with love,
every changing, earthy reminders,
of the true beauty and glory above.
